On Saturday, March 14, 2009, Jason’s family met with Assemblyman Peter Lopez of
New York. Assemblyman Lopez has assured us that he will look into what can be
done to assist us in our endeavor to make New York safer for our truck drivers.
He asked us to survey truckers to see how they ranked the various states as far
as safe and adequate parking in order to get an idea of what is needed. He would
like us to give him the top five or ten states and an idea of what has been done
to make them safe. He has also asked us to find out what legislation has been
tried or that may be in the works at this time. We are asking you to please
complete the following survey so that we can provide him with the information he
has asked for.
