Comments:May this law pass...may the people have the good sense to pass it and soon..let us not value on time deliveries and the freight more the the lives that supply America..I've seen this problem many years..my biggest complaint...however it is very upseting that it took something. Of this atrocity to get this lawi know for a fact that many people do not want this law passed..one is. Some of the truckstops..they don't want parking awawy from thier almighty dollar making machine...I pray in Gods righteous might that he will cause this law to pass...I cry for jasons family..and for the fear that must of filled his spirit at that moment..I think of. Many times I said see ya to my family..and the close calls I got through only by Gods grace and and the determination to get home.words cannot begain to relieve the lost you've suffer..however they can begain to rebuidlt the future..

Comments:Deepest condolences to Jason's family, life depends on trucks and truck drivers. People do not realize the importance of them and the drivers put themselves at risk everyday so that people may have their comforts. Thank you for everything you are doing and keep up the great work! www.lifedependsontrucks.com

Comments:I'm a CDL Holder annd drove for CRST for 40 Years. Finding a safe or any place to park Big Rigs was a daily challenge . This was not just for convience ,but for safety. The US really needs more truck parking on all Highways. This applies especially for All Interstate Federal roads .

Comments:Love the idea of having a safe place to park. I am a 30 year old female driver and I live with a constant fear of being raped, mugged, or other wise assalted while I'm just trying to do my job. I have to try and park early enough to get a spot near the front of the truck stop, hope that the lights work, and even then I still have a chance at some thing bad happening. Lucky it hasnt happened yet, I try to be carefull. But trucking isn't a 9-5 job and there are times I have to park in questionable places. I do try to park at rest areas more than a truck stop, but they fill up fast when they can only hold 15-20 trucks.

Comments:It's about time that something like this has been brought to peoples attention. It is all to common that shippers and customers don't allow the driver bringing or loading their product to stay overnight on their property even when there is plenty of room to be out of everyones way. I can't even count anymore of how many times I had to leave a place that had the space for my truck and try to find somwhere to park, not to mention being tired and most of the time out of hours. It's a sad and terrible thing that happened to Jason and my deepest condolences go out to his wife and children

Comments:As a truck driver, I have experienced the dangers of some parking areas, Atlanta, GA in particular. With the amount of hookers, drug dealers, bums, thugs, and low-lifes in so many truck stops and rest areas, it angered me that more isn't being done to protect drivers. We can't even carry weapons to defend ourselves and we get a bad reputation because of the characters that hang out in truck parking areas. I proudly support Jason's Law, and my thoughts & prayers go out to his family...

Comments:I just had the pleasure to speak with Jason's widow. It is absolutely horrendous that this women, who has the most upbeat demeanor despite what she has been through, is fighting this battle. Truckers are the #1 resource for commerce in our country. As a result, their safety should be a priority.

Comments:my husband is a trucker and i constantly worry about his safety while he is stopped overnights. Especially when he calls and tells me he is in some dark, unsecure place. I didnt even know there was Jasons Law trying to be passed. Did it make it thru or is it still on going? I hope God will bless your family and has lessened the pain of your terrible loss. I Pray that i never have to deal with losing my husband like this.

Comments:This is an important law. There are so many of us like Jason out there trying to make a living and feed our family. As "truck drivers" we often get treated with disrespect. Just yesterday in DeKalb IL. I arrived at a Target DC Warehouse in DeKalb IL. I was an hour and a half early. They made me leave their secure property and suggested waiting in a culdesac down the street. They have a huge secure lot with more than enough room but would not let me park there.??? Why? This is how truck driver get robbed or killed. The local hoodlums take notice of the truck drivers leaving the Target warehouse to park down the street and you can figure the rest out from there. I will no longer shop at Target stores. They do not have respect for truck drivers such as myself then I won't give them anymore of my money. Not to mention it took them 7 hours to live unload me. Apparently they think truck drivers don't have lives or families they want to see either. I also am a father of twin boys. Thanks for

Comments:I have signed petitions for this law. My husband and I both are truck drivers. Currently, he is the only one out driving right now. Tonight his receiver refused to accept a load he brought because of a wrong number on the BOL, WOULD NOT let him stay on their property and he just got lucky and found a spot at a small nearby lighted truck stop. This has got to stop! They want their freight, but they won't help us out? How wrong is this? Best wishes with your endeavor. I pray to the good Lord it passes all the way!!

Comments:This broke my heart to read what a waste of a life and the devastation for his wife and family. Our guys need to be safe our there. My son has just commenced driving a tow truck part time while studying at university and running our business and I worry about him going to jobs and having to go back to the depots alone. Our guys should be able to do their job and be safe doing it. Jason's sensless death shouldn't be for nothing some good has to come out of it, laws have to be enforced.

He has been kicked off 6 different areas in the Milford area now ( Walmart, Sonic, Cold Storage Fac., little mall area, Super Fresh parking area and Food Lion parking area) there just doesn't seem to be anywhere to just park. And Delaware doesn't have many truck stops So what is a driver suppose to do... Our government needs to help the truck drivers out there NOW
